HELLO people its fabuluc- don’t mean to get deep on ya’ll  but friday I saw  a very cool art show called manifest:justice,  which uses art to examine issues of social justice — two works  really stuck out in my mind 1) an instillation of a room that was half classroom half prison cell with text that said it costs $62,300 a year to keep a prisoner in jail and $9200 a year  to educate a child k-12 2)   a wall which showed   22  prison jumpsuits and 1 cap and gown with the lines ” since 1980 california built 22 prisons  and 1 university “- this got me thinking – its pretty obvious but just saying – we should invest more in education and less in prisons –   we all know that  racial minorities are more likely then white americans to be arrested and  according to a recent report by the  Sentencing Project “Once arrested, they are more likely to be convicted; and once convicted, they are more likely to face stiff sentences.”  – the statue  of liberty is weeping and so should we –
